CargoTech Alliance is the intellectual property of SFL Networks (Pvt) Ltd., and is run by Ikraam Reyaz and Kalim Iqbal, both of whom worked together at subcontinental freight forwarder HTL Logistics Group, where they first came into contact with CargoWise One. CTA was launched after an intense study of existing freight forwarding networks, their own experiences in international logistics and from a close understanding of how CargoWise One can further improve operational efficiencies and help reduce overheads.
After spending over a decade in international supply chain, Ikraam has extensive experience in sales, freight operations and P&L management. A certified CargoWise Professional, Ikraam also heads CTA’s technical partner Soft Freight Logic, and has served a Director for various Indian freight forwarding stations (Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai & Delhi) as well as the P&L Head for All India during his time at the HTL Logistics Group. He also served in an international role overseeing Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan & Sri Lanka and his sales experience stretches from the Indian Subcontinent to the Far East, Europe and the Americas. CargoTech Alliance was born out of Ikraam’s detailed understanding of CargoWise One and how the system can be improved for its users.
Kalim spent several years at HTL's operations in Bangladesh with operational and management responsibility for group freight forwarding operations in Dhaka & Chittagong, before taking on a regional role involving both Bangladesh & Myanmar as well as agent development in Europe. His specialties include relationship development, operations management and new business development. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from the California State University, Chico and in 2016 graduated from Lancaster University in the UK with an MBA, with distinction. Kalim intends to build CTA into a highly sought-after network and is working closely with Soft Freight Logic on ensuring that the membership is able to translate our world-class technology into improved and efficient operations.
